PROGRAM AGES: 18 and older
PROGRAM FREQUENCY: Each session meets once per week for 10 weeks total. Multiple sessions offered all year long.
The I-League (Instructional League) is for the adult player who is seeking to develop their individual skills while learning high level game-specific skills also. The program is comprised of on-ice sessions that run in a pure practice format (approximately two classes), as well as controlled game experience (scrimmages) which include a coach who is present on the bench, teaching in real time. Providing players real time feedback in a game setting acts as an invaluable teaching mechanism that adult players who are fairly new to the game have lacked (which all players who played as a child have received over the course of their career).
The I-League is an ideal program for players who have recently graduated from the Never Ever League, or for players who learned to play as an adult, but have lacked this instantaneous, in-game coaching. Participants who fall underneath either of these descriptions will see a drastic improvement of their overall skills by joining the I-League.
Each session receives at minimum two full practices and multiple full game ice-sessions, however some specific classes may be comprised of a combination of practice time and game time (which largely depends on the skill level of the participants in a given class/session). Each class lasts one full hour on the ice, and class sizes are capped (as a means of providing quality instruction to all).
